Development of self-healing ceramics and heat-resistant superalloys using data-driven prediction technology
Toshio Osada
High-Reliability Heat-Resistant Materials Group, Materials Manufacturing Field, Research Center for Structural Materials
Dr. Osada has achieved results in his research on developing new heat-resistant materials with lightweight and improved strength of high-pressure turbine components for aircraft engines applications. In particular, the design of bone-inspired self-healing ceramics has been highly evaluated both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, in the development of Ni-Co base disk superalloys, he has conducted extensive research on alloy design, microstructure control, property prediction, and high-throughput evaluation methods. These researches have greatly contributed to the development and practical application of heat-resistant materials, and further development of these researches is expected in the future.
